Biography

Faycal Bouguir is a multi-disciplinary visual artist living and working in Long Island City, NY. Born and raised in France of immigrant parents, Faycal studied Graphic Design in London prior to moving to NY to pursue an Art and Design career. In NYC, he attended the Arts Student League. He is a member of the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Studio in NY, and more recently of the NY Equity Gallery. Faycal has participated in group exhibitions at the AHA Fine Arts (2021). LIC Arts Open (2019), LIC-Artists Plaxall Gallery (2018) and The Student Arts League of NY (2016, 2017), where he received a distinction for his ceramic artworks. Over the years, he has traveled extensively to Central/South America and Europe. Over the past 20 years, his travels have continuously nourished his inspiration and artistic ideas, including more recently in photography. Faycal visual arts career builds upon 15 years of graphic design professional practice. He has taught Graphic design at Long Island University in Brooklyn and at various institutions in London.
