Getting prints done at the EFA Robert Blackburn Studio
Doing some prints on the press with small etching press makes life so much easier than trying to do them at home… Here are some samples of yesterday’s session.
Work in progress…flags
I have been working on a series of conceptual artwork on the theme of identity. The first piece is a reflection on decolonization, for which I am using flags which I created, then transforming to redefine the narrative they represent.
I finished the process of painting all of them on fabric. Excited about starting the second phase, the one of transformation.
I felt is was important for this artwork to get the color as accurately as possible, and create each flag as close as possible to their originals and in actual scale.
More to come on this artwork…
